A new exhibition of works by David Hockney. The exhibition brings together depictions of East Yorkshire landscapes from the last 50 years, including his recent iPad drawings. The Guardian writes: "Hockney's show poses hard questions, on how and why we decide how much things matter". Well worth a look!

Magdalena Abakanowicz at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park
This exhibition will feature a UK premiere of her work Ten Seated Figures which provides a strong sculptural statement about her experience of war and political oppression.

Abakanowicz: “My work comes from the experience of crowds, injustice and aggression... I feel an affinity for art when it was made a form of existence, like when shamans worked in the territory between men and unknown powers... I try to bewitch the crowd.”
