PJA Submissions
The
PJA is published three times annually, in January, May and September. The deadline for the receipt of submissions is: 1 December for the January issue; 1 April for the May issue; and 1 August for the September issue.
Essays are invited from postgraduate students on any topic in philosophical aesthetics, within analytic, continental and historical approaches. Essays are meant to be kept short, aiming at roughly 3000 words. For that reason, authors would be advised to write concise, to-the-point essays, with clearly stated aims and tightly controlled arguments. The philosophical level of essays should be of a postgraduate standard, and such as to encourage serious and focused academic thought. Authors are also asked to clarify specific terminology if such is used and to avoid lengthy footnotes. Source materials should be collected at the end of the essay. All submissions are by email only. To avoid difficulties with word processing formats all emailed essays
must be saved and sent in Rich Text Format (.rtf). Essays in an acceptable format will be refereed blind by a member of the editorial advisory board.
