BSA PhD Studentship

The British Society of Aesthetics proposes to award up to one Ph. D. studentship full-time maintenance grant of £ 12, 000 (or within the City of London or the Metropolitan Police district; £ 14, 000) plus tuition fees up to a maximum value of £ 3, 500 for Sept. 2008 of up to 3 years.
Candidates for the studentship should already be accepted on to a Ph. D. programme at a British university at the time of application, to research on a subject which falls under the traditional concerns of the British Society of Aesthetics.
It is a condition of application to the BSA that those eligible to do so are required to apply to the AHRC scheme and if successful should take up an AHRC award over the BSA scholarship and the successful candidate will complete or be near to completing a Ph. D. at the award’ s end.

Application Deadline; 15th May 2008

Applications should consist of a CV, a statement of proposed research, a personal statement on how the proposed research relates to your previous philosophical career and interests.

Two references must be sent by the deadline.
