MA in Philosophy of Art and Aesthetics, University of Kent
Bursaries
The University of Kent is pleased to announce a limited number of bursaries available to students taking the recently inaugurated MA in Philosophy of Art and Aesthetics.
Kent possesses one of the largest concentrations of aestheticians and philosophers of art, spread across various departments, including Jonathan Friday, Hans Maes and Michael Newall (History and Philosophy of Art); Jinhee Choi and Murray Smith (Film Studies); as well as Simon Kirchin and Sean Sayers (Philosophy). The MA programme is characterized by an interdisciplinary ethos, moving between philosophical aesthetics and related debates in art theory, film studies, and psychology.
The MA will combine units in the history of aesthetics with other units focussing on contemporary issues in aesthetics, along with a 15,000 word dissertation on a relevant topic.
For further information on the MA, and on aesthetics research activities at Kent, please go to: www.kent.ac.uk/sdfva/hpa/aestheticsresearchgroup.html

Please note the deadline for bursary applications is Thursday 9 April; applicants must have applied for a place in the programme in order to be eligible for the bursary competition.
